Dear H, you are making me blush. Ahh... piano teachers. Mine trained in Germany and was very strict with supernaturally sensitive hearing. If my nails were just the slightest bit too long, they would make this barely audible clickity-clack noise against the ivory keys. He would promptly hand me nail clippers. I could not grow out my nails for the longest time and to this day, prefer them short.

Dear V, thank you for your sweet compliment! Coming from you, it is especially flattering. And may I add that I cannot wait for the day we both make #2 a reality. Marx-whipping-out train rides while we munch on our firm, yet slippery persimmons by day followed by cello concerts performed by Yo-Yo Ma himself at night. xoxo~~~

Welcome, Kristen! Sheepshead Bay here, too, although I was not born in the States.

Re: make-up, I know what you mean. I have streamlined my collection to some bare essentials. However, I do still enjoy looking for pink and red lip colors.

You make a wonderful first, second, third, etc. impression! If I hadn't had the "piano teacher from hell" I would have kept up my lessons - another reqret (she used to rap your knuckles if you hit a wrong key). [Mental note to self; "Do not order tuna fish sandwich in D's presence!]. In addition to all your stellar qualities you forgot to mention your exquisite taste in cinema, fashion, jewelry, fragrance, art (and that's just scratching the surface!).

Hugs,

H

I always knew you were a brilliant individual, and your post only confirms what I already had a chance to understand. I cannot agree more with you on so many of these, especially #2, #3, #4, #7, #8, #12, #14, #15, #16, #20!

hey there...where in Brooklyn did you start out? I was born and raised in Sheepshead Bay and have since shuttled between Manhattan and unfortunately, Wilmington, DE (for work!).

I, too, do not wear foundation...despite the fact that I write a blog about makeup. LOL.

Cheers,
Kristen

Dear K, I am afraid some commuters consider the emergence of Marx as an invitation to sidle up next to me.

Dear A, the soft ones taste good, but they can get so messy. I definitely love them firm but with slip.

About tuna fish and living together, no, we could because for you, I will make an exception. Just please don't buy me lunch and grab two tuna fish sandwiches at the deli. My father--bless his soul--does this OVER and OVER again. And every time, I just go hungry.
